Countless excursions can be enjoyed in Vall Fosca. More than thirty natural lakes are scattered across the northern part of the valley, forming one of the largest lake regions in Europe. Its towering peaks, in the region of 3,000 metres in height, make Pallars a paradise for lovers of high mountain excursions.
The less adventurous can reach the lakes by cable car that brings you to Gento Lake, where you can set out on routes to the Aigüestortes i Sant Maurici National Park, engage in canyoning, mountain skiing, etc., or stroll along the old Carrilet Route, a greenway over railway tracks.
Those in search of a quieter excursion to the mountains can visit the hydroelectric museum, explore the various villages in the valley to behold their architecture and Romanesque churches and engage in leisurely walks to the hill known as Coll d’Oli.
